What we offer

West Virginia University’s Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design has a well-rounded equine curriculum combining science, management and therapeutic riding courses. We offer a Minor in Equine Studies with emphasis in equine science, equine management and equine assisted activities and therapies.

Many of our students are Animal & Nutritional Sciences majors, but students from any major may enroll. We have students from Agribusiness Management and Rural Development, Agricultural & Extension Education and even students from outside the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design.

Our program is rich in hands-on experiential learning. Our faculty members are experienced horse people from diverse backgrounds. Our students have numerous opportunities to be involved in student organizations, undergraduate research and in working student roles.

If you are interested in learning more about our program or becoming a Mountaineer, please continue to explore the website for more information!
