Degree: B.S in International Studies, Equine Studies minor with an emphasis in equine assisted activities and therapies, May 2019
Career: Hiba is currently working in a private school owned by her family, where she manages the elementary section of the school. She is a key member in a current project of opening a third branch of the school. She is also working to introduce a division within the school that serves students’ who have special educational needs and disabilities.
Undergraduate Research: During her Senior year, Hiba volunteered in On Eagles’ Wings Therapeutic Horsemanship Center and prepared to be a PATH International Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor (CTRI). She attended workshops, conferences and took related courses to gain experience and knowledge to introduce equine assisted activities and therapies in the Sultanate of Oman by being the first PATH International CTRI in her country!
WVU Student Organizations: Hiba was a member of The National Society of Leadership and Success, the WVU Equestrian Team, and volunteered at Stepping Stones Recreation for People with Disabilities, Sundale Nursing Home, and On Eagles’ Wings Therapeutic Horsemanship Center.
About Attending WVU: “As an international student, I am very proud to be a WVU equine studies alumni. I have learned from and enjoyed the hands-on and theory courses.
